The heroine is a living ship which has feelings and can talk. On the death of its master it is inherited by a man who wants to use it for transporting slaves. The ship is against this and forms an alliance with the man's sister who had hoped to inherit it and now plots to get it.

Starke Frauen & Lebendige Schiffe

Hat ein wenig gedauert, bis ich reingekommen bin. Das ging bei der Weitseher-Trilogie schneller, was evtl. am Ich-Erzähler liegt.

Dann aber wurde ich schnell reingezogen und habe mitgefiebert. Starke Frauen, lebendige Schiffe und viele interessante Charaktere und Ideen vermischen sich zu einer spannenden Geschichte. Mehrmals hat die Autorin gekonnt mit meiner Erwartungshaltung gespielt. Freue mich schon auf Band 2 - "The Mad Ship".
