If you like the kind of creeping suspenseful horror of A Quiet Place or the Doctor Who episode Blink, this is the book for you. Terrifying premise: instead of not being able to make a sound or take your eyes off the creatures that are out to kill you, you can't open your eyes because just seeing them will make you go insane. This book really relies on the description of the horror of the protagonist's life in this world rather than a more overarching plot but I don't mind that. 4.5 stars.

Ugggg. Okay, I really enjoyed this book. It is surprisingly well written and a lot of fun to read.

Like many others, the ending really...left me wanting. Too many unanswered questions. I know, I know. It's supposed to be like that. Doesn't mean I have to like it.

Also:. What. Happened. To. Gary?!
