As the decisions made in the corridors of power bring the world to the brink of oblivion, five families from across the globe are brought together in an unforgettable tale of passion and conflict during the Cold War. From the deep south of America to the vast expanses of Siberia, and from the shores of Cuba to the swinging streets of Sixties London, Edge of Eternity is a sweeping tale of the fight for individual freedom in a world gripped by the mightiest clash of superpowers anyone has ever known.

The Century Trilogy

4 stars

Since I didn't write a review for the first two books, this short one is for all the series. The Century Trilogy follows the story of five different families, that will become more or less interrelated, living through the 20th century. From Britain to Germany, from Russia to America, the books cover the main historical events of the past century. With the eyes and actions of the characters we travel through World War I and the Russian Revolution, Nazism and World War II, the civil rights movement in America and the Cold War up until the fall of the Berlin Wall. There was obviously a lot of historical research behind these books and I think the best thing about the series is how the real historical events are intertwined with the fictional narrative and characters. If you love historical fiction, I think you can't miss this series.
