I really enjoyed this book. I found a lot of analogies with addiction and regret. That nagging feeling that's hard to shake. King was in the middle of his addiction when he wrote this, and there are several bits taken from his actual life.

I really liked the writing style of the author. I feel a little guilty for finding these memoirs about abusive relationships so fascinating (I read I’m Glad My Mom Died recently), but they’re also a good tool for my awareness in my own relationships.
The more I read, the more I thought her mother couldn't get any more vile, the more I was surprised.

Steve o is a narcissistic asshole, but there's some good nuggets about sobriety and happiness here. A lot of the book hits close to home as a dry alcoholic and an "all or nothing" kind of guy. I think he's onto something with his views on happiness. Nothing new really, but framed differently.

I’m a big fan of cyberpunk, and I thought I was going to like this more since it’s such a celebrated and seminal cyberpunk novel. I actually really enjoyed the cyberpunk parts, but the romance made me cringe, and not just because it was romance. Neal Stephenson is just bad at writing romance.
