Verblendung

The first half captured me, the second half was…insane. I picked an intense read for my first fiction book in years. When I finished, all I could do was grab my running shoes and go for a run, even though I already ran in the morning. It was a lot to process, and I needed the run to work through it.

Heavy, dark, insightful, scary, and beautiful. So happy I read it. And the broad theme of violence (and hatred) towards women is beautifully crafted into the story.

Ich habe mich beim Lesen von all dem Rumsitzen und Kaffeetrinken der Protagonisten blenden lassen und die eigentlich offensichtliche Enthüllung aus den Augen verloren. Man ahnt schon etwa nach der Hälfte des Buches, dass Harriet Vanger noch lebt.

Ho capito che questo libro era un capolavoro la notte in cui non riuscii achiuderlo fino alle 4.20 del mattino, quando mi ricordai che il mattino dopo mi sarei dovuto svegliare alle 6.30.Sappiate che quando aprirete "Uomini che odiano le donne" episodi del genere vi capiteranno molto spesso, perché questo libro rende letterariamente bulimici ed è una cosa che a me personalmente non capitava da molto tempo.
Inoltre, nessun libro, una volta finito, mi aveva mai fatto correre in libreria la domenica mattina per comprarne il seguito...
