Review of 'Focus' on 'Goodreads'
2 stars
Ironically this book is unfocused and full of recycled material from others of the genre.

I usually get bored by non-fiction, but I found a lot in this interesting. Not sure if it's because so much applies to the work I'm doing with executive coaching or what. It's written in a really accessible way, with lot of examples. It's an interesting look at how our minds work and the value of focus.
As a side note: a lot of the reviews I read on it were negative because people felt the author had a political agenda they disagreed with. A few of the examples he cited were about CO2 emissions and the way humans process near-term vs. long-term risk. I thought the examples were relevant, but I also believe in climate change.
