The Wicked + The Divine, vol. 9

A decent ending to a great series. Its all a bit maudlin, but perhaps it's impossible to reflect on ambition, skill and celebrity without considering the constraints these things are undertaken in the context of. At least we mostly have it all laid out in front of us as I was still little fuzzy on the details coming into this volume. I'm glad we now know which was wicked and which was divine.

Never would have seen this ending coming. I loved seeing Dio and Inanna again, I loved them so much, but man, Baph really got me. I loved that devoted dumbass and I'm proud of him too. Baal was such a freaking martyr. How dare he do that to Inanna??? And I loved Cass and Lucifer. It was a really solid way to end the series.
