Review of 'The Devil and Sherlock Holmes' on 'Goodreads'

Compelling compilation of true stories that each provide a window of insight into human nature, psychology, or our society. I especially dug the piece on the water tunnels in NYC (terrifying), as well as the investigative probe on the outsized influence of the Aryan Brotherhood within our penitentiary system.

Also interesting to me was reading about the career of the bank robber and his advice on how to rob a bank, given that I'd just spent a summer close reading O. Henry's "Holding Up a Train." Really interesting similarities between those two pieces—except one is real!
