I've got a bias on this and I know it. Worth four and a half stars but in an effort to show non-bias I rounded down rather than up.

Ingraham throws in a good deal of humor while describing those little nuances about small town life, Minnesotans and family. He accurately describes Winter in Minnesota.

He also adds in data, (data is his thing), about large cities versus small towns, commute times, home ownership, politics, guns as just another tool versus guns as a way of life, education and more interesting stuff, (data).

I believe this book is already required reading for Minnesotans, (to avoid the "Well isn't that something" reply when you say you haven't read it), but could also be useful for those outside the state.

He gets extra high marks from me for his shout out to Robert Putnams' book Bowling Alone which I believe should be …
