Rosey of Robbinsdale reviewed Doll Bones by Holly Black
Review of 'Doll Bones' on 'Goodreads'
2 stars
The grain of salt I added to the number of stars for my rating is based on the fact that this is for a younger audience. Kids may like it better than I give it credit for.
As a quick easy read for children/young adults do not expect deep character development or complicated situations. The basic story is decent, even clever, and much of the hurdles our three main characters face may ring true enough for the intended reader.
It is a story of friendship, adventure and that other dimension that contains ghosts as well as a story about growing up, imagination and a little bit of that whole boy/girl thing that starts to hit kids of this age group.
