Oh well - addictive?

I was close giving it only four stars time, thinking "come on, Matthew, you can't be serious?". But the last 200 pages were again so brilliant and thrilling, that five stars are the obvious choice.

Tschick? Wells writes the better coming of age novel IMHO

Wells quickly turning into one of my favourite authors. Combining the topics of death and coming of age; while adding some stuff from his own biography and describing a declining city in Missouri, very atmospheric and detailed. And even if I didn't come out of age in the Eighties, I can identify with the main character in many aspects.

Final part of the brilliant Matthew Shardlake series. Happy my bookdealer was able to get a copy for me as it seemed to be not in stock at most dealers in Germany.
