I might try and pick this up again, but I was not as taken away by this continuation in the series as I had been by the original trilogy. It felt more forced and I felt as though we missed a lot of essential character development that has caused the characters we knew to change over the gap between the books.

Anthony Doerr does it again. I didn’t think he could write another book that I loved as much as I loved All The Lights We Cannot See, but he did. This book is fantastical, evocative, and emotional. Would recommend.
